Yes I know the setiment exactly, though I don't think ECM would have helped you in this case.
Cargo pods ain't missiles as such.
Though they have been known to be used as such in other instances.

I think he meant in fact that one of the cargo pods was indeed a Missile, its cyan color masked by lots of yellow blips on the scanner. he must have Missed the incoming missile message too, but it was likely also obscured by all the text that comes up when you make a kill .

Something that annoys me to.

It's easy, for me at least, to miss the incoming missile warning and the warning.ogg sound is not particularly helpful because it is used for several instances. So some time ago I recorded my own for that particular case. BGS-A or C will also cue the player to incoming missile.

/\ Exactly this. Still, my return to Oolite has gone well since I fired it up from scratch last week, despite a few set backs I'm in a fully tooled up cobra III with 20k in the bank and above average rating.

Still the best game ever made this
