The new "Kestros" (many thanks to Disembodied for the name), a small but fast escort fighter, will soon fly around in the Ooniverse. Koneko Industries is keeping details on their first ship secret, although we can almost guarantee leaks.
The Kestros will not just be for escorts, due to its speed. They are is likely to be good racing craft, and also thanks to great speed it will be a hard target to shoot. Pirates will, of course, take advantage of the craft for their own evil work, not just for its speed, but also because of its price.
The Kestros is going to be an affordable craft, but likely only for sale at high technology planets. It is unknown if they will be a rare ship or common, depending on the popularity of the vessel.
Of course, there are some disadvantages to the ship. Although in speed it will be superior to any vessel of its size, cargo space will be limited and maneuverability will be, well, horrible.
The Kestros will be player buyable.
The second ship by Koneko Industries will be the Rockhopper. The Rockhopper will use the Kestros as an escort. The Rockhopper is going to be an Anaconda sized transport, but faster. It will have about 500-660 T of cargo space, depending on how fast I make it.
The goal for this ship is to make a ship that can transport a very large amount of cargo across the galaxy quickly and safely. The Rockhopper will be player buyable.

It's those tiny ships, the sunracers & ferdies, that are the best pirates. Horrible little things to pick off from any distance longer than about 8km. Hopefully this one isn't going to be a cake-walk at 16km.

It's a bit larger than a Sidewinder, but very fast. How fast? I don't know (yet).

I've been gone for a while, the BB was going downhill last I was here, but Smivs says the situation's better.
I've had a breakthrough with the Kestros, so things are going well. I may yet finish the OXP.
