Every couple of days I click on the OXP list's date column a couple of times to make it recent uppermost. Some days it's like picking up 100kg platinum, what I find there. (BIG smilie)
And then sometimes I haven't a clue what this OXP is about. So if in doubt I download it and try it.
I am quite stupendously ignorant of what goes on inside OXPs but suspect that often I download stuff that is of no conceivable use to ignoramusses like me. This costs somebody bandwidth, and the planet an unnecessary dollop of co2.
So, my request to you who create these wonderful things: Can you mark them in some way as suitable for idiots/savants?

I agree. Some OXPs don't give commanders any way to know what they do. If you install a lot of OXPs and you have no idea what they do, how do you remove the one that causes a problem?

Simple answer - look up the associated wiki page or forum thread first. And if that doesn't help, you could always try reading the ReadMe...
That way, I don't install an oxp without knowing what it's supposed to do.
