I'm referring to a couple of mostly adult population forums, one about fiction writing for publication (with a recreational section), and the other for a software development program (with a recreational section). Watch where you point those remarks please, Okti, they don't achieve anything positive.
Every forum is different, and it takes time to get used to the unique climate of each. Anyway, I think our mods are more than capable of handling content control, don't you?

Yes they are and you must learn what this forum likes to hear from the members, you are learning it by the hard way by some posts you started being locked.
But I would advice if you want to contribute to the community, you are welcome. But if you want to change this forum to your playground, No way.
One topic of mine locked, and that was started in light of "no subject". I'm not nearly as brainless as one might think, nor as selfish as to change the whole goal of the forum. The matter of content was already discussed in "Spam", and another_commander's post sufficed in clearing up any more confusion, making a jab unnecessary. All the same, I appreciate your thoughts as to my integration into the community.
Back on topic...I haven't tried Lave Academy, but I'm debating whether that might be worth a bit of time. I could always use more practice docking and aiming.
Target Range OXP...http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Target_Range_OXP
I think I'll go with that one, so I can practice my various firing freely. Probably would be best to switch my port laser to a military laser as suggested earlier. Haven't lost a bounty yet (except one time that GalCop beat me to it), but I can always do with more practice.
Get* one of those silly ships with the plasma turrets on the side (the Caduceus Genitalia is a good one, yeah). You'll find it handy to pull along side an enemy & match velocity, and once you get better, add the side laser to the show.
* I mean for fun, you know. The Xarik is a cheap way to buy in without hacking a save file or working for months to save up a million galactic space credits, though you have to roll a bit to bring more than one turret to bear, so you can't work an enemy over quite as neatly as the winged-staff/weiner-mobile.
The ships I use often have plasma weapons...
I've used the Caduceus many times, and I'm now flying a Vortex. I like the vortex because you can easily turn the turrets off/on.
