Problem w/ Deepspace HUD

Post by Dragonfire »

I just installed the Deepspace HUD (standard, not retro). However, the back image for it is not appearing in-game. I also have BGS installed.

What is going on? How can I make it work?

It might have something to do with your monitors resolution but I'm only guessing. I'll check into it. Meanwhile you could post what your monitor res is set at.

case sensitive (base.png vs BASE.png). And maybe other OXPs are using the same name...

Mm, I'll bet that's it. Mayhaps I should try changing the filename and script reference? :D

Yes if you go into Images and rename BASE.png to base.png it works. Why wasn't this fixed? Doesn't anybody run linux?

This is nothing to do with Linux...case-sensivie issues affect both Mac and Linux (unix-based O/Ss) and are normally 'caused' by the OXP being developed on Windows which is not. This is quite an old OXP and the Author (who would normally fix this) has been absent from the Board for some time.

BEHOLD! A fixed hud.plist to fix future misery. Just replace it with this. We welcome our uppercase file overlords.
Well, that's a bit dopey. Why would anyone want to replace the whole hud.plist, when they can just rename BASE.PNG to base.png to fix the problem? Upper case file names are an abomination anyway.

Darn tootin'! I had a similar problem with my hud when I first installed it - I just changed the name to lowercase :D.
