almost finished with placing and rotating turrets, after that a bit of scripting making the turrets fire Plasma Pulse Weaponry, incl the animation of rotating turrets when the player is near..

conversion table is for each x,y,z coordinate X=-X, Y = Z, Z=-Y, which is why it takes so long to place things not alone rotate them from 3d max to Obj coordinates thus oolite coordinates..

Here is a screenshot in interstellar space

Enjoy... Frame...

I'm still playing around with Staer9's chopped Cobra on and off. This is a buyable version under development, biased more towards combat than transport.

That looks like the result of what might happen if the Cylons take up the Cobra franchise!

Oh, and @ Frame - that beast reminds me of the Federation ships in EV Nova! Often wondered if they were doable - nice work! I did start on a version of the Miner with the four arms, but at the time the poly count escalated rather rapidly! Maybe I should revisit it.
Very funny, Scotty, now beam down my clothes...

both gorgeous, but i'm of the opinion that nothing like a huge mega-crew ship should be playerable.

A day in the life of a test pilot: I jumped into the target system with my two wingmen, and set course for the showdown near the sun. We slipped into a tight arrowhead formation, and as it can be a long haul to the sun, we engaged the torus drives... cruising in style, man!

Yeah... you really wouldn't want to encounter us along a dark spacelane:

DH, if "Ifs and Buts were candy and nuts...." how does the rest of that go? :)
Take an idea from one person and twist or modify it in a different way as a return suggestion so another person can see a part of it that can apply to the oxp they are working on.

Are these all ships you guys have created? Very incredible work. I really wish I could do that. El Viejo, that is one fantastic screen shot. Do you control all three ships? I have got to keep my eyes open for that player's version of the Chopped Cobra. What a beautiful ship. Sorry if I'm trespassing on your thread, but I just couldn't help it when I saw those ships. :)
