Turrets and... Plasmaweapons.
Well... have a couple of millions questions about everything.
But don't worry. I will only expose a rather limited amount... now.
These Turrets. I have my doubts that it is exactly the same as in FE ( First Encounter ).
Had a ship recently that should have these turrets. But it was not very many manuals about them.
And I don't know actually if I ever used them.
What are they? Where are they? How to access them? What can you do with them?
Are you able to look around with them? Can you shoot with them?
Or... are they in some way automatic?
And plasma-weapons...
In FE - if anyone used a plasma-cannon and I was hit... then it didn't matter very much what kind of ship I was using ... or my health...
I would immediately transform to a cloud of elementary particles.
But I don't think it is very wise to use comparements with FE here.
But still...in FE they costed a fortune. Here they are rather cheap. And usually you get what you pay for.
You must of course also have the right oxp installed.
But.. how effective are they? In what distance do they work? How much energy do they cost? Do they overheat?
Can one mine with them?
Have a question about the vanilla ( why vanilla? Has it anything with icecream to do? ) Thargoid-mission.
But... better save it to another thread.

Okay then.
Not so complicated for the user then.

Sounds rather healthy.
If it fired at any target one could find oneself in serious troubles, in just a fraction of a second.

Ooh, yes! I've been called out to help protect the bar a few times, and rolled the wrong way whilst too close! The light show that follows is pretty fantastic!DaddyHoggy wrote:Or near a Seedy Space Bar...

...And cloaking afterwords to get the bar to quit firing at you doesn't rid you of the fugitive status.

Then kill the bar (but to do so you need anarquies oxp, you quirium bomb the renegade station, the following cloud kills the bar)Switeck wrote:...And cloaking afterwords to get the bar to quit firing at you doesn't rid you of the fugitive status.

Re: Turrets and... Plasmaweapons.
There is a big difference between plasma cannons (Oolite) and plasma accelerators (FE2/FFE)...
...a very big difference, indeed.
Cheers,
Drew.

Yes. The word "accelerate" seems to bring a little extra power here.
Well, if one doesn't have questions it can be hard to obtain answers.
