Residual momentum

Post by Wiggy »

In Og. Elite, you could never come to a complete standstill. How do we feel about some slight residual momentum when your thrust is zero?

Obviously, this should be a teeny-weeny amount of drift.

But I think it would improve game-play for docking, and for things like sitting outside Pirate Coves, waiting for the bad men to come out.
You came in that? You're braver than I thought!

Maybe in Oolite-strict, but I wouldn't be in favour of it in Oolite as such.

Okay - added to v1.63 for Oolite-strict only.
