Which Operating system do you use
Just to get a statistics about the players with different operating systems, I raised that poll.

Re: Which Operating do you use
Please change the poll so more than one option can be ticked. I have Oolite on both Linux boxes and M$ boxes...

Re: Which Operating do you use
Also this will certainly be true for the Devs, and for those who run multiple VMs...

Re: Which Operating system do you use
Only tried OOlite on Windows so far, but have Linux and MacOS on the same lappy.
I also fancy trying out the IRIX port at some point.

Was using Debian on my old laptop, currently Windows 7 on my new laptop until I get Debian fully (or mostly) functional on my Linux partition...

Re: Which Operating system do you use
I have a dual-boot laptop Win7/Ubuntu (Linux), but I prefer running Oolite on the Linux side. Ubuntu is faster overall, and not having it on Win7 (where I do my actual work) prevents it from become a distraction.

Re: Which Operating system do you use
I use Windows. Is there even a need to have the "other" option? Oolite only works for the big three OSes, Windows, Linux, and Mac.

Re: Which Operating system do you use
I didn't know any such ports existed. The main web site has version for the only Win, Linux, Mac OSes.

Re: Which Operating system do you use
These are the supported distributions. This is not the same thing as “only working” on those platforms; it’s portable and open source. I don’t think anyone’s done an IRIX build since 1.6x, though.Commander Wilmot wrote:I didn't know any such ports existed. The main web site has version for the only Win, Linux, Mac OSes.

And this very BB has a section for Porting to other platforms as well. You could surf through it some day.Commander Wilmot wrote:I didn't know any such ports existed. The main web site has version for the only Win, Linux, Mac OSes.
