An increasingly inaccurately named trilogy...

Post by drew »

Ok. Big announcement. Real life is serious disrupting my writing time at the moment (May will be an almost total 'write off' - ha). As a result I won't get Incursio finished in time for August 13th (target date before my hols).

Also, Incursio is getting too big. I think it's going to hit 140k again, possibly even more. So it's too long when compared to previous stories, and will look daft on your bookshelf.

So....

I have decided that Incursio is going to be split into two books. The first book will be called 'Incursio' and the second will be called 'Finis', obvious clues in the latin theme there.

The bad news is that you won't get to the end of the story until the end of the year (probably), but the good news is you will get a story by the summer and you get two more books instead of one. Each book will be about the same length as Mutabilis.

The new 'Incursio' is almost at a first draft stage, so I should be able to release it relatively soon after finalisation and editing. 'Finis' only has the outline and a few scenes so far.

Incursio will end on a stonking cliff-hanger of course, apologies in advance.

Cheers,

Drew.

A trilogy in four parts. A bright star in celestial heavens reserved for departed sci-fi titans, shines a little more strongly this night. :)

Who knows, maybe we're going to get even a fifth part? I think all trilogies should have five parts, don't you?

Then of course there will be the prequels...
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

I thought the clue was in the topic name (emphasis added by me):

Mere details sir! It's the application of the principle discombobulation that matters. Copy the details and you merely plagiarize with no understanding of the modus operandi. :D

Before you do that, I want more laser swords in the original trilogy. More laser swords! :D

Persuading Rebecca to have a double-bun hairdo is going to be the interesting bit...

Or getting her to wear that slave-girl bikini.

Interesting, yes. But more difficult than getting Jim to wear the Chewbacca costume?

And I've got Udian, Coyote and Derik to attire appropriately too.
