Re: A Matter Of Money
I am worth 10k. I did some passenger contracts originally, I got up to best in the galaxy, and then I bought a Cobra Rapier. I did several random hits, started the assassins mission, then did a bunch of duels at Royal Hunting lodges. I bought a Cobra NJX and then went and did some more duels. I got sick of the Cobra NJX and saw the Werewolf oxp, installed it, and bought and outfitted a civilian variant Werewolf. I then did several more random hits and bought Vampire Diamondback (duels at a hunting lodge weren't worth it any more, the nobility wised up to the idea that giving ten to one odds and allowing me to bet 10k wasn't a good idea for those who like the idea of holding on to their money.)

Re: A Matter Of Money
I have just under 7mil. It wasn't quick to amass but not difficult either. I've done assassins and constantly doing random hits. I also only buy equipment and maintenance at military stations where I get a huge discount for having bought so many war bonds, worth every C they are. Also done a lot of haulage contracts. Mostly only take metals and gems on them so as to keep my hold for other uses, some not so legal but profitable.

I'll second this. Currently I'm worth a measly 40k Cr but it's a comfortable amount of cash to be sitting on - enough to buy pretty much any reasonably priced piece of equipment that turns up as I try out OXP after OXP.Commander McLane wrote:I'd vote for a third option: I got rich in the long run. So it wasn't quick, but it also wasn't hard to keep even.
If I really found myself in need, I'd do a few milk runs to prop up the account, but otherwise I'd rather be spending my days trading, taking down pirates and scooping the resultant cargo.
Oh and visits to rock hermits are always profitable...great for picking up precious metals on the cheap. The grind there is sitting on a few hundred kg of platinum while you search for a market that will buy them off you at 77Cr+...
