I have no idea what the problem is, but I do know that the falcon is the only ship that has the viewpoint not in the middle but to the side. Makes manual docking 'interesting'. I can imagine that the reticule is not anticipating correctly, or it just behaves different than you expect.Riff wrote:maybe someone here can help me, i finaly got to buy a falcon but the target reticle doesnt work but it works on other ships.
has anybody come across this problem?
thanks

UPS-Courier & DeepSpacePirates & others at the box and some older versions
Re: UPDATED OXP: Kestrel&Falcon 1.70.1
Don't know why target reticle (reticule?) doesn't work with the Falcon, but I do know that the Milhud v3.4 has the target reticle built into it, and certainly works beautifully with the falcon, and most other craft.
The Milhud is superb and does away with the target reticle.oxp
Malcul
Also try the Kestrel&Falcon 1.71.0, that might make a difference.

So does the core game now, doesn't it... my reticle turns red without the target reticle oxp installed.Malcul wrote:The Milhud is superb and does away with the target reticle.oxp
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

Not quite. Any HUD OXP can override the default target sensitive reticle setting, which in the core game is still set to false.El Viejo wrote:So does the core game now, doesn't it... my reticle turns red without the target reticle oxp installed.

Re: UPDATED OXP: Kestrel&Falcon 1.70.1
The next update is about to be finished, this time with major changes:
added the Merlin - why ? Because it's nearly a Kestrel so no further effects to the game
kept all player ships but made it much more difficult to buy them
removed some NPC's made others very rare
added Falcon-X, Kestrel Defender and Merlin Courier, both NPC's and player - the new ships are still superior but not as much as the originals
The next generation will be build on GalCop technology so no tiny fighters with insane speed, hyperdrive and all shields available anymore.
