since putting in the new drives to my quadcore, there's an occassional, intermittent highpitched whine that seems to alter pitch etc when you do stuff like move the mouse/scroll up and down. some kinda electrical interference perhaps or something not happy? any ideas how to cure it? Some of the CRTs at my old workplace used to do similar at times in summer.
the drives i put in are a 500gig SATA and a 120gb OCZ SSD drive, if that indicates anything.
TIA

My first thought would be to wonder if your power supply has enough arse to it.
