I regularly see Asp's scooping cargo/alloys, what is up with that?
An asp with a fuelscoop ok, but no cargoroom available, so why scoop and why do it succesfully?
If I try that, I get a face full of shrappnel.

Pirates are cheating at scooping debris
Riding the Rocket!
Just today I came across an Asp that was VERY aggressive in scooping cargo. He wanted to block my way each and every time I approached a canister. We even bumped each other a couple of times. He definitely cared about the cargo much more than he did about me. I solved the problem by injecting away to another debris field. Not my preferred solution, but the police presence was heavy in that particular system (as was the debris presence...coincidence?)

As for the original issue, checking cargo space availability before scooping might be an idea. :-)

Just a point: I was referring here to the AI, the “original issue” being pirates scooping when they don’t have cargo space.Ahruman wrote:As for the original issue, checking cargo space availability before scooping might be an idea. :-)
