I loved Cannon Fodder - many an hour lost on my Amiga to that one! 8)

The Master Assassins are invited to note that the Secret RSS Feed of Invalid Accounts™ is now actually working. (Service is subject to continued bounce notices from my e-mail provider, I don’t know why they stopped for a while.)

It doesn’t notice that accounts are gone, no (it doesn’t communicate directly with the board or database). Check that the names match!

I was checking out

Amitic: https://bb.oolite.space/memberlist.php?m ... ile&u=7403

Couldn't find anything hugely suspicious, but now it's disappeared. So either it's cloaked (which is suspicious), or the Master Assassins found a reason to slice him up! If the latter, bravo, sirs! If the former, then it's definitely worth keeping an eye on.

Can I ask what you Assassins are referring to when you say that a board member has "cloaked"?

I don't know how it's done but sometimes people will pop up on the members' list several days after they apparently joined. I keep an eye on the "total members" count and on occasion it'll jump up by one, although the listed newest member doesn't change. When I check the list, invariably there's a new spambot squatting there that joined a week ago but had somehow remained invisible until now. I assume it's some mechanism so people can join a forum and still lurk, although why anyone would want to do so is beyond me ... as I say, I've only ever seen it used by members who turn out to be spammers.

Seems they've visited Galaxy 5 already before joining the boards... 8)

Speak of the devil ... here's a decloaker here:

Beaunnyteergy: https://bb.oolite.space/memberlist.php?m ... ile&u=7320

Member count went from 2072 to 2073, but the newest member didn't change. Beaunnyteergy, here, though, who joined on Monday but didn't appear until just now, is pimping some online casino.

He is also a repeat offender if I remember correctly.
