On the other hand, the avatar is one more place for the spammers to slip up. Any real user that bothers with uploading a custom avatar is likely to choose something with some sort of connexion to Elite, or just space related.
So what do we do with the avatar that shows a cheese with eyes? Definitely not connected to Elite, or space.
Yep, and I have a nice little addon for Firefox that allows me to right click on a picture and run checks on Tineye. Your avatar gives 87 hits by the way.
Hmmm ... time for a change then I think! Anyway, I've had wheels on that jar for a while now ...
Pardon my ignorance: what is it? Looks like a rather dark screen shot, perhaps of a Griff Boa? Unfortunately I can't really make a lot of it.
EDIT: Okay, I downloaded the picture and changed its gamma. Now I can see that it still contains cheese. Even more than one, methinks.

It is a Griff Boa shooting a can of spam with a triangle or block of cheese of its starboard side.
Griff Boa, shooting tin of spam, with second tin in the background.
About the darkness bit: Is there a GIMP wizard out there who can tell me how to get an image brighter without washing away all the colour? (I've used the program exactly once.) Just upping the brightness left the whole thing looking bland, so I cut back a bit, but as you've said, it's too dark too see properly. I'll probably do another screenshot at some point for a V2.0 - whenever I can get around to jostling with the spam again. Getting two of them close enough to be visible in in shot is a bit of work.

Hey, Cheesy, can you link to the full-size image - I'll have a look at it for you.
I'm not entirely happy with the shot, but it was the best from the batch once I got tired of pushing spam around in space...
I think redoing the thing while making sure to shoot from the sunny side might be a good idea.

Thanks, much better! Now I can postpone the re-shoot! (Which may or may not be a good thing.)
