looks interesting, however....is it supposed to be asteroid hitting a stationary ship, or flying ship hitting an asteroid? Impact angle suggest the first option, however it is quite unlikely....
Well thought through.
It's part of an OXP idea I'm working on. The story is (without too many spoilers) that you'll need something that is not available where you are, but you hear rumour of a freighter carrying what you want losing power in an asteroid field and being abandoned by the crew. You will need to go and find the freighter and 'salvage' its contents. This is what you'll find, the freighter crunched onto an asteroid that has bumped into it.

(wiki)Random_Hits_OXP(/wiki) or even (wiki)Random Hits OXP(/wiki) shows as [wiki]Random_Hits_OXP[/wiki] or even [wiki]Random Hits OXP[/wiki] (substitute the brackets)
The wiki tags is just an abbreviated notation where you can (and must) spare the http://... part.
The pothole works equally:
(wiki=Random_Hits_OXP)any text(/wiki) or even (wiki=Random Hits OXP)any text(/wiki) shows as any text or even any text
Ok - so I'm heading off to the local station and decide to check out the planet...
Cruise real low - barely get a blip on the ALTimeter with a great view of the moon..
Hit the "aft(er) burners" and WOOO!!!
Getting hot!!
Is this new to 1.75?
Have been flying "outside" the ship more and more to catch those unforgettable moments...
Will post more if anyone is interested
"And... sweet Lord Giles on a gyro-spider, they didn't even fit you out with a docking computer!"
Have you tried docking at full speed lately?

I first noticed it with 1.74. But Can't say if it was in earlier versions. Try sun skimming and watch your ship go from cool to a brilliant almost white glow before it blows. The trick is to time the injectors right so you can see yourself cool down again afterward. Just watch the trumble barbeque!
