clearing unread posts on BB
Annoyingly on the php2 version of this forum, if you logged out (because you had to or your browser crashed) when you logged back in it didn't remember which posts you hadn't read (and occasionally wouldn't forget messages you had!), now on php3 I'm several million messages behind and I've read all the ones of interest but logging out and back in doesn't clear the unread messages like it used too - is there a way to do this - there's no obvious button - or at least not obvious to me!

I think it's a new feature, and I find it an improvement over the old board.
It doesn't mark posts/threads as 'read' unless you actually really have read (or at least opened) them.
Or are you talking about PMs? There you can mark whatever messages you want to delete, and at the bottom of the list there is a pop-down menu with a couple of options, one of them is 'delete'. It's not the one shown by default, though, you have to select it first.

If you're on the index page, look on the top right, just above where it says "Last post". Click where it says "Mark forums read".
Similarly, if you're in a forum, you can mark all topics read in that forum by clicking "Mark topics read".

@Cdr McL - yup I like it too - except when I'm millions of unread threads behind...
@MdF - ah yes, that'll do... nice one!
