is it possible to "port" a version of Oolite onto the nintendo DS ??
I have a nintendo DS XL, and i think the dual screens and relative simplicity of the game would work really well on the DS. maybe even use the wifi part of the hardware for multi player stuff..
i realize this would be a life time of work for one person, but has anyone considered it?
Oolite on the nintendo DS XL ?

Just spotted this. Forget the DSXL, how about the 3DS?
Oolite in 3d. Now that'd be fun.

No. Nintendo’s platforms are closed down. Producing games for them involves large amounts of money and vetting by Nintendo.

From the above it seems that Linux is on the Wii. Might be a starting point for a port.NigelJK wrote:

The kids noticed me playing Oolite - if it was available for Wii that should be fantastic as it means they lose the ability to throw the laptop across the room when something goes wrong! Can this be done, really? Rich.

I notice that it's Debian. There's a reasonable chance this may happen as this is the flavour used by the R-Pi (see the porting forum for more on this, and who might be interested in chipping in).
