Escape pod...slaves...the story continues..
Has anyone ever written an OXP that would incorporate the player being picked by some pirates after he has used his escape pod? I suppose it would need to have a small probability of occurence but a script could be written that allows for the player to maybe join the pirates or somehow escape from their clutches rather than just waking up with a hangover at the nearest station.

Ever heard of Slave Hunters? Press Space Commander!
Find out about the early influences of Fatleaf here. Also his OXP's!

I've seen a few references to Slave Hunters lately. Is this some OXP that I've missed? And if they're hunting slaves, the only interaction I want with them is by way of laser fire.Fatleaf wrote:Ever heard of Slave Hunters?

Oh yeah! I definitely remember rollen's signature.

The main question is whether the player will stay in the pod long enough for an NPC to actually close in and scoop him. Up to now the whole 'movie sequence' from ejecting until seeing the docking rings lasted only a few seconds, and couldn't be influenced by script.

It was his sig that caught my eye... one of the better ones.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

I think it's usually attributed to Harpo. Definitely one of the Marx Brothers, at any rate.El Viejo wrote:It was his sig that caught my eye... one of the better ones.
And while you looked at the .sig, I looked at the profile, and most active topic, with predictable results...
