Problem with trunk-1.75.0.4263 (Windows) - or with some OXP?

Post by UK_Eliter »

Dear all

I've scooped large amounts of gold and platinum, and six tons of computers, all in 'bulk' containers, but didn't actually get the cargo. Perhaps the problem owes to my using Pods.oxp - which gives us, I think, the oh-so-scoopable bulk containers. I was using version 1.2 rather than the newer 1.21 of that OXP (or rather of pods.oxp and pods-ups.oxp, both by the Green One). But apparently the only change between the versions was to allow the (old) code to run on the new version of Oolite (and I'd made that modification already, myself).

At most the following, I think:

[script.javaScript.exception.notFunction]: ***** JavaScript exception (Fuel Collector 0.06): TypeError: this.theplayer.hasEquipment is not a function

EDIT: Actually, I've just found this:

[shipData.merge.failed]: ***** ERROR: one or more shipdata.plist entries have like_ship references that cannot be resolved: pods_UPS_breachbarrel, pods_UPS_emptybarrel, pods_UPS_explodingbarrel, pods_UPS_jambarrel, pods_UPS_piggybankbarrel, pods_UPS_retrybarrel, pods_UPS_trumblebarrel

That means you have pods_UPS installed, but not UPS itself. As the pods_UPS is designed to make UPS-liveried pods with new content (same as some of those in Pods itself) it makes that kinda meaningless to have installed ;)

I'll check it next week if I get time and see if something has snuck in (again).

Thargoid: I've updated my OXPs, and installed UPS, and got the beta Oolite build, but I still have the problem with the bulk containers. So there is indeed still a problem somewhere.

Also: I'm pleased at the way credits are displayed in the beta; but what happened to the (planned) 'are you sure?' when buying ships?

A few more things:

- there are still un-laserable Thargoids (although my turrets can fire at at least some of them);
- rock hermit buoys seem to be duplicated (though this may be an OXP problem);
- Vampire mark I's are offered for sale at 450 (sic) credits. (Perhaps I should move this one - and the one above? - to the Expansion Pack forum.)

Sounds like a double install of an oxp.

I have all of (1) Pirate Coves, (2) pirate_cove_griff_rock_hermit.oxp and (3)griff_rock_hermit_fullsize_textures installed - but, previously, te combination always worked fine. But perhaps I should not have both 2 and 3?

Found it (thanks to Okti) - 1.75 now also has Manifest[""] strictly replaced by manifest[""] but without any error notification. It's breaking Pods, Pods-UPS, HyperCargo and Vortex. New versions of each are about to upload...

Aha! I've found two other OXPs that contain same problematic syntax, namely, Armoury and RandomHits.

Armoury I already updated to 1.05 to fix that.

There are more than those two with the problem - UPS Courier also has it in a few places.

For Random Hits it is a good thing. It prevents to give the player a bounty for scooping the mining pods. :lol:
At least that was the only place I found it. Will update RH tomorrow.
