Humming bird ornithopter...
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

It's tiny, isn't it? Took me a moment to even see it on the video.

Not quite Dune yet then? Impressed and slightly disappointed at the same time!

Am I the only one who thought that place looked suspiciously like the outside of Mythbuster HQ?

great achievement but until they can fit guns to it, who cares, lol. loses a bit of the stealth aspect when it's indoors tho, any type of bird would attract attention. unless you make it look like a budgie, perhaps.
mind they could probably fit a small amount of C4 in one.

stick that fella onto a head set display, with break out box for multiple viewers, add wii fluid control so an operator can run one from neck movements, a "safely home" program if the operator is distracted and your talking a serious bit of local intel weaponry.
What's the audio give away on it, out of interest? The clip has no sound which makes me think it's kind of high. Still, I would imagine that there is a "target fixation" factor that could distract enemy troops from pop up sniper fire. Used in combination with more traditional military tactics it would make a highly plausible dis-tractor.

@Clym, seen another video - at the beat frequency of the wings it sounds like an electric whisk!
