Japan planning to use fishing nets to clear space junk.
Title is self-explanatory. The (short) article is here.

I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

We were thinking the same thing then! (I could have put Salmon - but Tuna sounded more like Children...)El Viejo wrote:
Nice one EV (and, from a different thread, congrats on **ELITE**)

It's a shame that he never finished the book... it's still a good read though.
Thanks re the Elite thing... as I said, deeply satisfying.
I wonder if Oolite should have an arrival report page, displayed at one's first docking after getting the big 6400.
Something special to greet the newly Elite commander.

Nice idea, and indeed it could be extended for all the 'landmark' scores. That would be nice for newbies as they would come along fairly frequently.

This discussion was had way-back-when, I think, after a pacey discussion it was decreed that it was difficult to introduce in a way that didn't make it feel "gamey" (this may have been related to another similar discussion about medals and arbitrary other titles and ranks)

Stuff medals and other ranks… I vaguely remember that discussion, now you mention it.
I was thinking just a simple arrival report from whoever it is that ranks pilots (I can never rmember their name), nothing fancy… but there you go.
