Meanwhile, in the ready-room, the crack test pilots are playing poker…

‘What do you reckon… will it fly?’
‘Yeah, it’ll fly… we’ll be in for it tonight, methinks… more tough sorties.’
‘Maybe you’re right! In that case… your twenty, and raise you twenty!’
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Meanwhile in the Labs....
The boffins have checked and re-checked all available data and have come to two un-surprising conclusions.
1) When written correctly the script seems to be working fine. :D
2) Smivs is a complete Numpty who really shouldn't be let loose on a Computer.

Meanwhile, back in the ready-room…

‘There you go… I told you it would fly.’
‘What are you… a boffin, all of a sudden?’
‘No chance, I’m just a pilot… your fifty, and raise you fifty!’
‘Call! Better get the coffee on… going to be a long night.’
‘Copy that… three aces!’
‘Damn… three jacks… I’ll make the coffee!’
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

...still in the Ready Room,
apprentice boffin Smivs enters the room, looking somewhat sheepish.
"Hi Guys, anyone fancy a Coffee?"
"Yes please" came back a chorus of approval.
"Hmmmm...I can't remember, is the Coffee the brown granules or the White crystals?"

‘It’s the brown granules, Boff… the white crystals are for ‘crack’ pilots only.’
‘That’s right, Boff… of course, you could always fly with us tonight… if you fancy it.’
‘Yeah… by the way, Boff… do you play poker?’

Meanwhile, outside the spam factory....

Oh, wait. Wrong thread.

(Sorry couldn't resist. I'll go hide from the spam assassins now...)

No need to hide, Cheese, this thread's gone haywire anyway!
Not so much spam, though, as Pot nOodle :D

Luckily, moronic apprentice boffin Smivs was called back down to the labs as something needed screwing up, so the Aces were free to go out and set about cleaning up the Ooniverse unhindered.
The End.

In the ready-room, the klaxon wails and red lights flash…

‘Okay guys, scramble… last one back buys the beer.’
‘Same old… it ain’t righteous, Cap… somehow, you always get back first… every bloody time.’
‘Maybe he won’t make it back… this time.’
‘Which means he still won’t have to pay… anyway, time to hit the ’lanes… let’s go.’
‘Yep… full speed ahead… and damn the torpedoes! You comin’ along for the ride, Boff?’

Progress Report

Things are coming together well. Other than a few details to sort out such as laser colours, the standard edition and the special Griff's 'all-in-one' editions are done and in testing. The Smivs'Shipset edition is now underway. This will feature new textures for some of the 'specials' namely the pirate Boa and Boa Class Cruiser, and a GalCop Constrictor. The Boa and Constrictor are done, so just the Boa 2 to go, and lots more fun testing it of course.
Here's the Police Constrictor, complete with flashing lights on the nose :)

Sorry I've been away for a few days, but you really should take a look at my Deep Horizons - Pirate Ambushes OXP. Doing something VERY similar to your blockade.

Hi Cheyd,
Sounds interesting, and I would have had a look, but following your link via your website, I was offered a Windows Executable (.exe) file for download. As I run Linux this was not helpful. :(

It is a zip file, but with the wrong MIME type (text/html). Smart browsers, given text/html and apparently binary content, try to guess the correct extension and in this case land at exe (possibly because of the .aspx in the URL, but that wouldn’t be very smart).

In any case, renaming it to foo.zip should work.
