I tried to dock, but GalCop just weren't havin' it... I had to turn away and run... I didn't make it!

Too busy taking snapshots! Well worth it though - lovely (from an artistic point of view)

Courtesy of the screenshot wizard, another_commander… one of his little tricks… he calls it the ‘Cinematic View’.

Well whatever it is or how it works, I'm liking it! I think I may need to pull that picture into GIMP though and sex-up the laser fire, it's definitely the weak-link in the composition...

(Do you have the pic at a higher res?) I fancy a new wallpaper...

Laser fire is always the weak link (and engine plumes)… it’s the momentary freeze frame of the snapshot function that does it (and plays havoc in dogfights).
That’s the best res I’ve got… I didn’t keep the 1280x1024 original... and it's no composition, it's a live action shot.

It’s not only in snapshots… a serious revision of special effects is on my post-MNSR wish list.

cheers bud :-)

just wondering if we should have a wallpaper thread? some of the shots here are great but some lend themselves specifically to wallpapers, my preference of them anyway - ie, no HUD, not too "busy", nicely composed and a fair proportion of dead space to put your icons on w/out covering the main focus of the picture.

That's a good idea actually.

Say what you will about exciting combat, sunskimming adventures, and running from the law.

I seem to spend more time doing this....

...then anything else. This is the kinda thing that will make a guy snap. Sitting behind Adder's all day waiting to get in.

Suddenly, 1500 credits isn't so steep for that docking computer. >.<

Nice pic.

Don't just jump the queue. You will get fined lol.

Glad the HUD works OK for you.

Talk about space-lane hogs, My No2 was out and about in the Contractor the other day when this nutter in a Cobra just flashed past and docked at about Warp 9. :o
