Yes, yes… both very good… but where’s the ‘somewhat scantily dressed young lady and her new ship’ listed in Drew’s post?
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Very nice indeed! Liking this a lot.
I'll get around to sorting this soon. Keep the covers rollin' in! Let's run til the end of Feb and then I'll call time.
Re: Scantily clad girl... do you think I'd be posting on here if I could draw?
Cheers,
Drew.

Clever Gorans, the mixture of the normality of the handbag and the contents...
Not sure about the mixture of real, character and avatar names though. Personally, in the context of this particular work, I may happen to be John Hoggard, but I'm definitely (and preferably) DaddyHoggy. If Drew still plans on inc. the Bios then I think I cover the transition between RL(tm) and Oo-life...

Thanks DH.
I just stripped the names from the first post. Can be changed as needed.

So you did. I had forgotten said post - and indeed a strange mixture of reality and fiction and forum - one of the things at Drew as EiC will have to decide upon.

Re: Alien Items Coverpage Competition - FEB 2011
I've left it in the text as the name supplied to me (apart from DaddyHoggy's for some reason! Oops. )
What would folks prefer? I'm happy with the mix, but if contributors want their real name, or their forum name... please advise.
Cheers,
Drew.

From my not-involved-at-all perspective: Go for consistency. One way or the other doesn't matter much, but mixing them up will most likely just look messy.drew wrote:I've left it in the text as the name supplied to me (apart from DaddyHoggy's for some reason! Oops. )

"Actually this is a common misconception... I do *not* in fact have a lot of time on my hands at all! I just have a very very very very bad sense of priorities."

Re: Alien Items Coverpage Competition - FEB 2011
If people are willing to supply their real names then you could always do (for example)
Lazarus by DaddyHoggy (aka John Hoggard)
But I agree with others - it doesn't matter really - but consistency would be nice.

Re: Alien Items Coverpage Competition - FEB 2011
May be a little tricky. I could stick to 'real' names, but some folks might not want to reveal themselves. Unfortunately people like myself don't have 'forum personae', so I can't go with those either.
Perhaps we should leave them off the cover and go with some more generic?
Cheers,
Drew.

Might be better to have the stories' titles on the cover, not the authors' names.drew wrote:Perhaps we should leave them off the cover and go with some more generic?
