had a walk around her this AM, last non-military docking before decommissioning apparently. fkn shame, nice ship and it's a disgrace that they're getting rid of such a powerful piece in the navy. >:-/
got some canny pics to use as inspiration when i'm doing one of my next ships tho!

And they got rid of the wrong planes too! Oh well, at least there's the anglo-french task force!

Oh… that is so comforting… I’m sure that the anglo-french taskforce will be very useful when/if Europe falls apart.
I don’t even want to start on the wrong planes issue… mierda!

The Ark Royal and the Harriers were offered up as Sacred Cows (to justify QE and PoW) they were thought to be untouchable - somebody got it badly wrong.

tell you what tho, i was surprised how small the Harriers seem! I was wandering about imagining Vampires and the like compared to the ship and planes and you actually get a surprise thinking how some fighters actually could be very small and compact, and what it must be like at a Coriolis dock entrance seeing something like a Boa or Anaconda heading for you!

Oh, They are getting rid of Harriers? with the VTOL? those are cool planes.
