In Space nobody can hear you scream, and they can't hear backshelf vibrating to Goldie either so I generally don't bother.

If I did, I'd probably listen to Floyd or some new-age shhhh.. enanigans (Maybe Tubular Bells?).

I was thinking the other day how there are some tracks that are just made for listening in the car while on a long drive. There must be equivalents for those long hauls from WitchSpace beacon to Space Station. :) Space seems a little lonelier though so something a little more melancholy would be required one would think, to capture the tone.

Well, if you're looking for 'appropriate' stuff to listen to, this comes to mind.

I actually stopped listening to music while playing Oolite as the sound of my laser hitting the hull of a far away enemy is the only cue I get on whether I hit or miss, and I want to be sure I do hit when firing a full salvo

I'm now going to start listening to Justin Bieber while playing... seriously!

This screams Oolite, it's so amazingly epic!

I've only got one question: Who is this Justin Bieber person?
I've seen the name occasionally, usually preceded by the word 'hate', but that's just about all I know.

Er... yeah, you need to follow the link dude. I'm not really a Justin Beaver fan (seriously for real this time). I find Canadian*, spotty, teenage yoofs singing about love, hard to take seriously.

The version slowed down by a factor of 8 though is utterly epic... Gustav Holst would be proud.

*No offense to Canadians intended

I've seen quite a few people mention Pink Floyd... which is fair enough, because they were a Space Rock band once. :-)

What else?

Mostly i listen to my girlfriend saying 'are you playing that damned game again?" :D

My whole CD collection, which ranges from Bach to Zappa… but I do love fighting my way through anarchy systems to the sound of Dogs, by Pink Floyd… seventeen minutes of mean, nasty, beautiful music.

And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

That's Dogs from Animals, right? Rather than Dogs of War from MLoR? If it's the latter then I'm going to have to hunt you down like a dog and get myself one step closer to elite.

Yeah, Dogs from Animals... not their best album, but at times, it's brilliant.
