Unable to Remember :(

There is a key combo that changes the gamespeed....I can't remember t, and I can't find it in any of the documentation here, or anywhere else.
Help?

Yes, the time acceleration factor.

Pause the game ("P") and then the left and right arrows slow and speed up the game. To see what it currently is, whilst paused press shift-F to display the info overlay (the bit you want is TAF). It can range from 1/16x to 16x.

To turn the overlay off again repeat the shift-F whilst paused.

Could be, but I seem to recall a way to change gamespeed while not paused.

You may mean the torus drive (flying at high speed) - press "j" when there are no ships or other large things around. If it says you are mass-locked, then such things are on the scanner and blocking you.
