When I used to play this game ages ago, I remember an oxp that allowed you to call for help when under attack.
You could call for Police assistance.
What is this oxp called because I can't seem to find it?
I keep getting killed whilst doing the courses at Lave Academy because I have Deep Space Pirates installed lol.
Thanks.
Looking for an OXP

I don't recall a 'Help!' OXP, but, erm, you could remove Deep Space Pirates for a while
Commander Smivs, the friendliest Gourd this side of Riedquat.
Maybe you are thinking of the distress beacon ?
I never used it myself, so see for yourself.

The distress beacon in Missiles and Bombs is a little crude - it doesn't use some of the latest scripting tech (I can say that 'cause I wrote it) - but it's handy if you need some police units in the area urgently. A point to note though is that if you don't have a clean legal status, they may decide to try arresting you rather than dealing with any other ships in the area.

with distress beacons though, it can take a little while for the troops to arrive, so you'd better be sure you're still going to be alive when they get there.
i don't use it very often, but every now & again, when there's a major battle to be fought, you can drop loads of them, then sit back & watch the fireworks
particularly useful on the sneaks mission. (sorry tharg, i cheated!)
