Heretic alert - looking for 1.72

Post by BlackKnight »

Go easy on me - I've just spent most of the day rebuilding my PC after some weasly virus got into it and trumbled some file or other; when my AV clobbered it, I got the infamous Blue Screen of Death (so yes, another reason to take pity on me - I'm using Windoze!)

Anyhoow, as mentioned above, I'm looking for 1.72 - my machine can handle 1.74, I just prefer the older version. I've looked on the Wiki and checked the main download links but all that'll give me is 1.65 or 1.74.

Can anyone point me to an source that still has the 1.72 build available, please? Pretty please with a cherry on top?

I eagerly await any assistance y'all can give...

You used the word "source". And the source for all older versions is still available here. But I doubt if you mend source in the sense of source code.
When you mean already compiled versions, I think that older versions are not kept available.

For some odd reason, I have 1.72, 1.72.1 and 1.72.2 on my HD. Will try to upload to box.net and provide a link shortly.

Which version do you want?

You might find what you want here.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

Had already uploaded it when I was Ninja'd by El Viejo  .
It's version 1.72.2 for Windows.

Not necessarily ninja'd, Gimi... my link above may be Linux only.
I was just about to edit my post.

Good point and my reputation is safe. Mine is Windose, so it should fit with the request.
Time for bed where I am, so good night.

Thanking y'all for your quick and helpful responses - I knew someone would have it somewhere (I still had the installer files on my -now boogered and overwritten- hard disk... that'll each me to back my PC up properly! ).

And Erich was right - I meant 'source to download from' not source code - once again my sloppy use of my mother tongue is shown up by people from nations where it's a normally a second language.

Today really has not been one of my better days. And since I've got to get up in about, oh, three and a half hours, I'm guessing tomorrow (eek today! ) ain't gonna be much better.

Anyone got a spare time machine they don't want?
