DIY Project

Post by DaddyHoggy »

My 8-yr old daughter is Doctor Who obsessed. So, during a recent redecorate of her bedroom I foolishly promised her a "Crack in the Wall" night light.

It's not on the wall yet, but it's getting there (board is 1.2m across)

Just wait a few years, and she'll need a wardrobe that's ten times bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside

Looks good. Are you planning on a frame for it or building it into the wall itself?
Sleep? Who needs sleep? Got game. No need sleep.

The only problem I foresee is getting space-time to crack behind your wall with the nescessary precision and in the exact same shape.

It's going to be mounted on to the wall (which it has been painted the same colour as), I have just returned from the DIY store with the necessary bolts to mount it up.

So, hopefully more photos to follow soon.

(My wife's going to be quite cross when she realises that I've chopped up the shower curtain to use as a plain white diffuser for the LEDs)

Looks fancy! Are you planning to seal off the edges as well so that the escaping light doesn't give away the rectangular silhouette?

Actually, Milly has requested that the blue glow remains, so no.

i have no idea what one of those is, not having watched Dr Who since they had Kylie in a French maid outfit (i'd like one of those for MY bedroom), but it looks awesome.
