Sudden increase in cargo (without payment)
I took on a contract to carry 1188kg platinum. After saving the game and reloading, I have 2188kg platinum. Doing it again, 4188kg.
1. Any idea what the problem is?
2. Is there a way to fix my saved game? I don't want to cheat as the game will be greatly shortened if I do.
Cheers,
Mike

I could not reproduce by just giving me much platinum and saving the game.mcarans wrote:I took on a contract to carry 1188kg platinum. After saving the game and reloading, I have 2188kg platinum. Doing it again, 4188kg.

For editing your save file: you'll find two entries for platinum like:
Code: Select all
<array>
<string>Platinum</string>
<integer>1188</integer>
<integer>732</integer>
<string>171</string>
<string>-2</string>
<string>-2</string>
<string>55</string>
<string>31</string>
<string>31</string>
<string>1</string>
</array>

It would be nice if you could upload it to a server and post the link here.mcarans wrote:...Would it help if I give you my saved game?
I think I have an idea (pretty remote though) for the source of this behavior.

Perhaps your cargo has been infected with nano-trumbles and is reproducing wildly

My guess: 1000 kilos are temporarily treated as 1 t. They even reduce your available cargo space, until you launch. After launch the valuables are stored in your safe in the cockpit, and your cargo space is freed again.
I guess this is where something went wrong. The progression from 1000 to 2000 to 4000 indicates as much.

In that save game on Box.Net, there are already 2188kg. I edited my local save game back to 1188kg as suggested and that seemed to work ok. After completing the transport it dropped back to 0. Thanks for the advice.
Let's just hope Getafix's biosuit doesn't have any tears in it.

We could still end up with thousands of Biosuits, or even thousands of Labs. Let's face it, we're Doomedmcarans wrote:

What?!? What happened?!? Is the alert canceled?
I don't want to return back in there!
How could I bear up with "The Gigafix" (as in The Borg) when I can barely cope with myself!
