If you watched the game, you'll know how it went, and if you didn't you probably don't care
Either way, this thread has probably been as entertaining as half the football, so we're all winners.

I have created a new Facebook group: Boo the England players when they play their games this season!
Let's see how many people we can get to join the cause!

Ah well, that's California for you... the only place where they make an annual ritual of 'mooning' at trains.Chrisfs wrote:(Super Bowl parties don't count, as my social circle is more than likely to mute the actual game and talk, and only watch the new commercials)
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Me too, but unfortunately...maik wrote:*sigh* me too, and more or less for the same reason. Would have loved to play Italy in the finalsHueijRevisited wrote:Damn... Sorry, but our team deserves defeat. We're neither the shadow of the team who won the World Cup in the 2006.

Ah Talisker, from the Isle of Skye… very nice. If you like a smooth malt, try Isle of Jura sometime.maik wrote:I recall I had a Talisker
If you like a real ‘peaty’ malt, try Bruichladdich from Islay.
That applies to England as well. What I don't understand is how England have risen one place in the FIFA rankings.Dave McRoss wrote:Sorry, but our team deserves defeat.
I guess that's FIFA for you. Still, it's the Euros next.

Islay Malts, my favorite subject. For the ultimate, you'll have to find a bottle of Port Ellen, preferably at cask strength. The distillary is sadly no more, so these gems are scarce and expensive, but...well it's just the Best Malt Whisky, ever, anywhere.El Viejo wrote:Ah Talisker, from the Isle of Skye… very nice.
