does anyone remember a tank game called "Conqueror" on the amiga? it was pretty damn good, used the Virus engine Braben wrote to gen the terrain etc.
used to like Battle Chess too, but nothing took my time away like Elite did.

I never owned an Amiga, so I didn't see that game - but the fact that it had a "piece of Braben" in it speaks in its favour. I did enjoy Battle Chess. But agreed - Eilte certainly takes the crown for devouring hours (and hours, and hours, and hours, and... etc.)
