My theory is that you have a British layout keyboard and that you are trying to take screenshots using the numpad * key. Am I any close?

OK, try using the # key for comms and use Shift+8 for screenshots. You may want to add in your keyconfig.plist this line:

Code: Select all

windows_keymap = "UK"
This would be especially useful if you discover that the Advanced Space Compass key ('\') does not respond either.

The space compass is the # on my computer and it works fine. :)

The \ key doesnt work at all. :)

Yeah, the # key is for compass on UK layout, I got a bit confused.

Just to be sure: You are pressing the backquote for comms (`) and not the normal quote ('), right?

RustiSwordz, which OS (& OS version) are you using?

In windows, '`' (the key next to 1) works fine, and '\' to change advanced compass mode does seem to work in v1.73+ as well...

OK this is confusing their is no back quote key just ' and " thats it. The ' key is used for both front and back.

Try the key to the left of 1, as Kaks said. If this does not work for whatever reason, go ahead and change the definition in keyconfig.plist to a different key that works.
