It looks like Valve have made their game portal available for free for PC & Mac until the 24th,
http://store.steampowered.com/freeportal/
i got this game as part of the 'Orange Box' game bundle they did a year or so ago and it's great fun, there's no recommended specs on that page though but i imagine you'd need a fairly speedy gaming computer and a fairly big download limit on your broadband

I got as far as installing steam and getting all excited, untill I saw how big the download was.
We Belgians have silly downloadlimits. (Just to make sure Rxke isn't talking out of his @ss, he checks the limits )

As I'm, currently off sick (post Pneumonia fall back, to "man-flu" status) I've had a few goes on Portal - it gets horrible at Level 17 (3 from the end) - convinced I was a numpty I watched a few video walkthroughs - and now I know that even though I knew/know what to do, I don't have the manual dexterity to do so
Having then watched the walkthroughs for the very last two levels I know that I will never ever be able to do them!
So for those who missed the download and you're old like me - you've just saved yourself a few very frustrating (if entertaining) hours
