This is great now! Love the navigation bar!

Wish I could do as well!

Maybe you could start a Kickstarter Campaign to found your £4500 pledge. 8)
Thanks to Gimi, I got an eBook in my inbox tonight (31st May 2014 - Release of Elite Reclamation)!

Edit: Ehm, almost. Works OK from all pages except the very first one (with Drew's text). Clicking download from that screen brings up the "helpful" dialog.
Hmmm, you're right, there are 2 page headers, and the second - unchanged - one is used for both the index & 404 page...
Hey, free OXPs: farsun v1.05 & tty v0.5! :0)

Just so you know, you should be able to fix it. :-) (sftp://[email protected]/home/groups/oolite-linux/htdocs)

Looking great guys - nice to see it updated at long last! 8)

Thanks for the continuing link on the front page to Status Quo. I wonder if we should give all the great fan-fic a bit of an airing though, rather than just me? Could we have 'fanfic' or 'novella/short story' section to the download area perhaps, or a "05.Fiction" part of the navigation? (might be a big ask - I don't know)

Cheers,

Drew.

I think thats a good idea.

I like the galleries, they work quite well, the pics expand nicely on page. One thing though, the videos only link to YouTube. Can we not use the embedded YouTube player?

They are quite easy to make on YouTube, and are quite customisable.

As with OXPs, I don’t particularly want to do an “official” fan fic page, for two reasons: maintenance, and selection. However, I’d be happy to add a Fiction section to the Links page, with, say, links to the Fiction section of the board and a Fiction portal on EliteWiki or elsewhere, if there was one.

I guess I could run through the wiki and flag all the Oolite fiction with a tag, then create a front page for them all? Then we could link to that from the website?

Happy to do if there are no objections?

Cheers,

Drew.

There's already a category for Fiction set up. Might not work as advertised as it doesn't just have the stories on it though, but authors as well, but it might be a starting point?

Trouble with that is that that category shows everything, fiction for Frontier, original Elite and so on. Gets confusing IMHO...

Drew.

Saw that, but dismissed it for the same reason as drew. Something like Category:Oolite_stories might be better – specifically Oolite, and specifically stories rather than “fiction-related”. (Then again, there’s fic that isn’t strictly stories.)

Call it 'Tales from the Oolite Zone', perhaps.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

'Tales from the Ooniverse' might be better?

No. In-jokes aren’t very approachable. (Also, the more fanciful names would look a bit weird as wiki categories.)
