Saw this on the Acorn Arcade site. On there is a table of the top 5 commanders, by kills.
I propose that we do the same. Post here your best/highest score (if you run several commanders) and I'll edit this post to produce a table of the best Oolite players!
Cmdr McLane - Elite - 13112 kills - 1140 days, 11.50 kills per day
Zbond Zbond - Elite - 132993 kills - 13220 days, 10.06 kills per day
Alex - Elite - 10791 kills - 2003 days, 5.39 kills per day
Varsator - Dangerous - 860 kills - 171 days, 5.03 kills per day
Disembodied - Deadly - 3266 kills - 862 days, 3.79 kills per day
To work out time in game look at your game clock. The game starts at 2084004 (first four digits are the year, next three are days, with 1000 in a year). Take your date, minus 2084004 = your total days. Divide your total kills by the total days to get your kill rate.

DaddyHoggy: 2 Kills (I'm Roleplaying a pacifist - both kills were in self-defence where I couldn't dissuade the pirates from attacking me as a swarm even though a fair few were venting plasma and I may have targeted ships that were fleeing rather than those still firing in the confusion of the melee - I was deeply remorseful - 7 days mourning for both of the lost souls)
[Of course this approach means I will never have chance to do (any) of the missions built-in or otherwise as they're kill based - so I'm waiting for some terrible event to turn me into a revengeful psychopath as my Cobra Mk3 is well equipped enough to deal out immediate retribution!]
Maybe it would be a good idea to also post the in-game time that goes with those kills?
Yeah but I still don't understand how the ship's clock works! So I've no idea what mine is!!
EDIT: my current commander is saved at: 2085004:13:00:31
But I don't understand what the 2085004 means? Its not years or months, but surely can't be days? I suppose it could be hours, but thats what the 13 is, isn't it?

Cheers,
Drew.
Maybe you could start a Kickstarter Campaign to found your £4500 pledge.
Thanks to Gimi, I got an eBook in my inbox tonight (31st May 2014 - Release of Elite Reclamation)!
