Ha! finally no more competence around.

With no witchdrive fuel I never had a chance to get the Constrictor.

To have more witchfuel left when arriving at Orrara, I planned to detour to nearby planets, but that day I would always die in those systems.
Now, yesterday, suddenly no problem. Getting the constrictor first time, with enough fuel in the tank.

What does the Naval Energy Unit do, btw. ?
I was hoping it meant replacing the main thrust and the Python being a bit faster, but it still seems all slow to me. :?
I do not have any comparison with the normal Python energy recharge rate, shield going-down or rebuilding to compare with.
