How does Your Ad Here! affect the Bouy Repair GRS factories?

Do factories replace the ad boards? If not, why not? I think that this would be a great enhancement!

Don't understand. Why and how should a factory replace a billboard? They are two completely different things.

The buoy factories produce buoys, they are no buoys. And because producing buoys requires materials found on planets, not in space, the factories are logically placed in an orbit around a planet, not at the witchpoint (which is where the buoys/billboards are).

Therefore I really see no sense at all in YAH intermingling with buoy producing factories (except that the GRS factories should perhaps produce billboards as well, in case one of those needs to be replaced).

Yes I meant what I've put in bold above. My main point was that YAH! replaces buoys with ad boards, so I think it makes sense that the GRS factories could produce ad boards instead of buoys.

It is not possible because of he high costs. Currently all production capacity is build for a standard size of the buoy. The big scale of this production makes it very cost efficient. Assembling those big bill boards would mean assembling them at small scale by hand, and hire big tuggers to tow them in place. Our own ships are not strong enough to do the job.
