I do expect it to work, I have played on pretty much every version for the past few years including hundreds of dev snapshots on my MacBookPro and I have never had your problem. Im pretty certain we can work out why it doesnt work for you and fix it.

.) the ANA i purchased is just not working. the keyconfig.plist indicates "^" for its use, but i hit "^" (in chart view) and nothing happens. i tried to change the key, but no effect. changing other keys did work, but not this one. might this be a mac thing? anything known about this issue?
What keyboard layout are you using? I switch to a UK layout to play (System Preferences -> Language & Text). Not ideal, but it works.

Doesn't help yet. Which country are you in? A German keyboard is way different from a French keyboard, which is way different from an English keyboard, which is different from a US keyboard.

So, which one are you on?

problem solved. i re-instlalled oolite and now i could reassign the key for the ANA. it still would not work on the default setting ("^"), but now it mysteriously works on onther keys, which it did not before.

thanks for trying to help me

is it true that no joysticks are supported in MacOS? Neither analog nor digital? (if yes, how could that happen? if no, is there a list of products that reportedly do work?)
Hi benije,

I just posted a patch that is still rough around the edges but does provide limited support for gamepads.

Please let me know if it works for you.

Cheers,
