Re: Science Fiction Trivia

BENEATH THE PLANET OF THE APES - Not the best of sequels but it does fit the category in several ways.

Re: Planetfall 2.0 (maybe)

Either one looks good. Perhaps use both, or even more of them, for different Landing Site types. Really like the Landing Beacon with the planet moving underneath it concept. In the original Planetfall a likely looking Landing Site was chosen, approached, and then the "Please Wait" message ...

Re: [RELEASE] Towbar OXP v1.0

Fun! Flying a D.T.T. War Lance with a towbar... when towing, rear view is down the pipe of the towbar. Sometimes the towbar stays on when no longer towing, which makes battle a bit hairy. I've suggested an OXP tweak viewtopic.php?p=295058#p295058 . What version of Towbar are you using? If it is v1....

Re: Planetfall 2.0 (maybe)

Returning to the reason for visiting planetary locations. [Much More in the original post] All well and good for Missions but there should still be some sort of Landing Site that closely resembles an Orbital Station in terms of Trade Goods, Equipment, and a Ship Yard. See the following quote of mys...

Re: Planetfall 2.0 (maybe)

Great ideas. My version uses a Market Script that is very similar to the one available in Stations for Extra Planets. It is based on distance from the Main Station as opposed to being a duplicate of the Main Station. Planetfall Markets caused a bit of a conflict with this and so was removed from the...

Re: Pirate Coves

Read through the files in this OXZ and am fairly sure on what settings would be used in order to have it fit into my Ooniverse. Only one question remains which probably has already been answered in my understanding of the files but just want to be sure before going forward and adding this into the m...

Re: Controversy Corner

Just to point out - you're ignoring ILS. I originally got it through one of Norby's meta-OXPs. And I would presume that many players have this. Personally prefer TRAFFIC LIGHTS to I-L-S as it cuts down on Docking Queue wait times, especially if you TWEAK it a bit. The Docking Computer(s) Docking Co...

Re: Deep Space Dredger

Looks really good. The only possible change that might be suggested would be to the Dredgers themselves. To my eye they are a bit too gritty, a little too dark and not enough shine. Just my opinion. Your re-texture so take it with however many grains of salt you may choose. Whatever the final outcom...

Re: Secondary Market Definitions Defined

1) Darkside Moonshine Distillery - the proof of concept for distance affecting price. I've not done much with this (not into whisky!). But I noticed a post on Roolite saying that it didn't work. If it really doesn't, then should it not be fixed as it is the only OXP I know of which does this - and ...

Late to the party as usual. Rarely rise before noon unless it is a Still Awake from the night before. Thank You timer for getting the Board back up and running with even more functionality then it had before. Did notice that the Remember Me box on the Login Screen had to be checked before a reply co...

Re: Thoughts on Elite Dangerous with relevance to Oolite

Slightly off topic but THIS POST OF MINE from almost two years ago does go into the process of sorting the entries of the F4 screen. It is not as detailed as what is being suggested here but hopefully will further the research. In my Ooniverse the most used entries are at the top of page one cascadi...

That message is clear. Once the test is complete details can be added on how to use the Key. A reminder to save the information outside of the Forum's Private Messaging System would also be a good idea. Forum goes boom one cannot access their Private Messages.

Re: Oolite Website Domain & Fixing the Expansions Manager

Lately, I periodically see how the site of our forum (phpBB) freezes and sometimes I clearly see errors from server, like 50x (it is not network problems). Question - is it just me or does this happen to you too? You are not alone in this. In my case the problem has gone away since this was POSTED ...
