Re: 3D galaxy prototype

I've always imagined G1-G8 to be adjacent slices of a section of a galaxy - ie sort of stacked on top of one another - hence the hyper drive takes you in an up/down direction rather than the normal sideways movement through witch-space...?

Goodness you are fortunate, one of mine came from the same genetic stream as Yah-Ta-Hey's and learned to open doors at a very early age. Fortunately she never learned to pull down anyone's drawers...

Re: Vote now for the best sci-fi film never made

Well, I went for Lensmen in the end, but Ringworld and The Mote in Gods Eye had me in considerable indecision!

I have never even heard of the current winner, Use of Weapons, or its author, but I suspect that relates to my age, and that most of my SF reading was completed 45 years ago!

Maybe there should be another order of monks that would hunt you down, at the very least I think you should become the object of a bounty for such a grave act...

Ouch...! ...I qualified for SAGA nearly 14 years ago.... ...but I don't actually qualify as a grandfather! Technically, you could be 32, or even less(!!) and be a grandfather.
