Re: Oolite Website Domain & Fixing the Expansions Manager
UPD.: I don't know what browser is used, but on my mobile FF there is a "View as for PC" switch that returns a menu. This is not a solution to the problem, but can be used as an "emergency" option. Rotating the phone 90 degrees so I view it in landscape mode also fixes the probl...

Thanks for catching this one. Should be fixed in commit d8dabec, which should be out in a few minutes. Please test and confirm.

It's currently set to 6400 nits absolute brightness, but normal screens will display it with their maximum available brightness, whichever that might be.Cholmondely wrote: ↑Sat Jan 20, 2024 5:58 pmHow bright is the sun? I've not found anything on the wiki about it. Sky/Nebulae, yes. Suns, no.

Re: Progress
Explosions can now specify a brightness value so that they can be tweaked to appear really bright and impactful. The definitions inside explosions.plist can now contain a "brightness" key, with a float value that has to be higher than or equal to 1.0. The default value is 1.0, which keeps ...

Re: windows 11
I'll let you know that I am happily running Oolite right now on Windows 11. Trust me, it does run on W11 beyond any shadow of doubt. Where did you download it from and what is the actual filename of the installer you got? If the installer does not run for you, my best guess is interference from the ...

Windows 11: Forcing Auto HDR on any version of Oolite
If you are on Windows 11, you already know that it has a feature called Auto HDR, which allows any supported game to promote its presentation to HDR, even if not originally designed for it. Normally the supported games must use DirectX 11 or 12 to qualify for Auto HDR, but there is a way to get Ooli...

Re: Oolite won't start: libgnustep-base.so.1.28: cannot open shared object file
I still wonder why on the same computer (!) the installation of 1.90 works smoothly, but the newer versions fail. There must have been some crucial change regarding libgnustep which has broken the old installation environment. And it's also strange that nobody had this on his radar. Is there anyone...

Re: Screenshots
here's an example from an oxp where i'm using emission_modulate_color to reduce the brightness of the emmission map by modulating it with 0.5 for all the RGB values, lower numbers would dim it further, anything higher that 1.0 seems to remove the effect completely as far as i can see rather than in...

Re: JavaScript Linter
The console code has been running unchanged for years. Surely we would have noticed if something was so horribly wrong till now, right? I am using the console extensively when debugging and also when testing OXPs and also for generating most of the scenes of the screenshots I post so I do use it qui...
