Re: Graphics bug and occasional CTD using v1.77 on netbook
Could you try using a nightly build to see if that makes a difference? That looks like a memory allocation bug causing a crash deep in the graphics drivers, and we did fix a graphics related allocation bug recently. (Of course, it could be your graphics drivers that have the bug instead) On my firs...

Re: Graphics bug and occasional CTD using v1.77 on netbook
I'd suggest to remove MilHud4000 and GalaxyInfo before you continue. The next step is probably to take out Povray, then trying to approach a Kiota. If it still crashes, scale all textures in Wildships down and repeat the tests. Sure, you'll lose some details, but hey. Far better than ending on your...

Re: Graphics bug and occasional CTD using v1.77 on netbook
I'm already running MATE. There's no real reason why I use Mint 14 instead of 13, I just downloaded the latest version while looking for a distro. I might yet switch to Mint 13, if I can't sort this out on the Mint forums. Thanks for the suggestions.

Re: Graphics bug and occasional CTD using v1.77 on netbook
I've installed upgrades from the X-Org-edgers repos, but noticed no real change since. I still get occasional artifacts obscuring my vision (though fewer when shaders are disabled), and every so often the game silently quits to desktop or hangs for no readily apparent reason (my 2GB RAM do not appea...

Re: E-reader advice
For such a vast internet company, they seem to be welded to the 20th century. For physical goods, they act as a retailer: they buy in bulk from suppliers, have the items transported from the supplier's warehouse to their own, where they're unpacked, shelved, picked, repacked and finally sent to the...

Re: Randomshipnames.oxp v 1.2 released
The pirates spawned at the witchpoint by Taxi Galactica don't get any names assigned at present. Their role seems to be called "taxi_pirate".

Re: Taxi Galactica v1.0
I noticed that this OXP often spawns a few pirates near the witchpoint of any system I jump to, always with a bounty of 100. Isn't that only supposed to happen while I'm actually on a Taxi Galactica mission? (Also, isn't that bounty a bit too high for a generic pirate?)

Re: [Release] Adck's Behemoths Lite 1.0
I noticed that with shaders turned off, some of the Behemoths still look fairly normal while others turn a bright red all over. Is that a bug in the texture handling?

Re: [RELEASE] D.T.T. Manta
Has anyone else had any weird issues with the Manta? I just saw a pirate in a Manta, with no wings....?!?!? They are a sub-entity, but they should not be frangible... I jumped into another system, and saw another one that was completely normal. Any ideas? I was just ambushed at the witchpoint by a ...

Re: Graphics bug and occasional CTD using v1.77 on netbook
Disabling shaders made the game crash a lot less and raised the framerate when approaching Kiota stations, though the lack of more eyecandy is unpleasant. I still get these triangular artifacts, but they are a more rare occurrence now.

Re: Graphics bug and occasional CTD using v1.77 on netbook
And just had another CTD while approaching Tezaeded Main station on jump drive. Come to think of it, the first time I tried with the max-texture-size limited to its current value, the spacelanes were too crowded to use the torus drive, so I injected most of the way instead. Maybe current ship veloci...

Re: Graphics bug and occasional CTD using v1.77 on netbook
That's quite possible. The Kiotas have large texture files - try turning the max-texture-size setting down to 512 and see if that makes a difference. Well, no more crashes during approach, but the framerate still drops to 8 when the current view points at a Mega Habitat, or to 4 when it's a Relay S...

Re: Graphics bug and occasional CTD using v1.77 on netbook
I have attempted several times more to get to the Ico station in Tezaeded, and gotten a CTD whenever I tried to go in a straight line from the witchpoint to the station. I suspect the system may be running out of graphics memory or something in the attempt to draw the main station, a Kiota Mega-Habi...

Re: Strange absent sub-ent problem
FWIW, I've been using the SD Replace version for the past few weeks, and all those sub-ents are present. Could it be just an issue with the HD-texture version?

Graphics bug and occasional CTD using v1.77 on netbook
Lately I've been playing Oolite on my Acer Aspire One D257 (2GB RAM, Intel GMA 3150, 1024*600 fullscreen resolution, Linux Mint 14) a lot. Due to framerate issues when using full shaders, I tend to use simple shaders (and even with those I occasionally get single-digit framerates, such as whenever K...
