OK, we're ready for a test release. I'll put both OXP's here, so you don't have to go too far.

Re: Oolite Flavours
Well, it's 12am here in Sydney at the moment. But I'm going to have to call it quits now - work tomorrow!

Re: Oolite Flavours
so I know you know it's wrong. So why don't we agree to not correct each other's spelling, going forward? You can redraft all the details of all 256 systems, and present chart 1 as chart 9 the second time around. The only new thing we'd need for that would be the ability to change the screen title ...

Re: Oolite Flavours
There are limits to what can be achieved with JS. You could create a space (reachable by misjumping between two planets), turn off the Thargoids, add a planet or two, some stations, even get some traffic moving around. But you can't add a sun via JS.

Re: Oolite Flavours
How very diplomatic. :D You don't want to see me being non-diplomatic. (BTW, artefact is spelt with an E. Artificial is derived from artifice, not artefact.) Unless you read a lot of American fiction growing up, in which they all tended to spell it "artifact", and thus so do I. Sometimes....

Re: Oolite Flavours
The eight charts (yawn, "galaxies") is an 'orrible kludge, arising from Elite's 8-bit origins I would challenge the view that the 8 charts are a kludge. Yes, definitely an artifact of the 8-bit origins and galaxy seeds and so forth, but not a kludge. Bell & Braben could have left the ...

Re: Non-English Keyboard Problems
If you're able to run it, Oolite version 1.91 has a full keyboard configuration system built in. Including the ability to use non US/UK keyboards effectively.

Re: [Release] Imperial Astrofactory 2.0
Not yet. Some changes are tied into the Dictators changes and I’ve got a couple more things I want to get into that one. I’ll see if I can finish some things off today and get a test release out these.

Re: Station sizes on the wiki vs the dat files
I'll make the wiki match the in-game values, as that seems like the obvious link. The DAT files are probably not taking into consideration any subentity additions which is why they're slightly different to the in-game numbers.

Station sizes on the wiki vs the dat files
I was doing a bit of research, and came across this apparent discrepancy. The Coriolis station DAT file has this at the top // model size: 1000.000 x 1000.000 x 995.918 This corresponds pretty well with the lore, which says the stations were 1km x 1km x 1km in size, with a small rounding issue for t...

Re: No sound - v1.90 linux x64 deb package
I installed a fresh instance of Kubuntu 23.10 in a VM, installed Oolite 1.90, and can confirm there was no sound. After some searching, I found this article: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1284262/default-audio-device-typically-built-in-analog-does-not-show-in-kubuntu-20-10 Instructions are basical...

Daddyhoggy is insteresting in finding out more and popping back into the forum, but he registered here with an email address that lapsed a few years ago. Do we have any administrative staff that could help him change his email address to a new one? I can provide contact details if necessary. PM me ...

Re: oolite.space on web.archive.org
The thing is, we went forward with fixes to other things. If we go back, we will have to redo all that work. Not impossible, mind - just a lot of work. Might it not be better to work out why the internet archive is having problems with the design as it exists now? Surely we can't be the first websit...
