The sound is the very fabric of reality cracking because your speakers are too loud. You should turn them down.

Deep Space Pirates OXP is fun, because the pirates actually send you radio messages. They are also less tough than the regular taciturn pirates on the spacelanes, so they are a bonus both ways.

It was on at 7:00 am here in CA. after a big night Saturday, I didn't make it.

Saw USA lose 2-1 to Ghana (for the 2nd World Cup). The field gets smaller every game now. Outside the favorites, Netherlands is looking good and Japan has made a surprising show so far.

What like the monks? I dislike the idea of anything in a game that's so hard core it literally cannot be beaten. I have to agree that the Black Monks represent that uberness. I was stunned when I looked in their stats and took the OXP out until I had time to tweak them to something tough but not pr...

I can understand the need for cash. Cobra 1 is a bit too low though, I would go for a Moray. (maybe with a cargo extension). Cheaper but still nice.

As an aside, what are your views on OXP NPC (non-player controlled) Uberships? Should the Ooniverse have the odd ship that is to be feared, respected and avoided? What like the monks? I dislike the idea of anything in a game that's so hard core it literally cannot be beaten. I have to agree that th...

# No more messages about broken equipment, lost targets and so forth after you die.

aye, why the return = harder bit. The hardest part of an interplanetary flight is the first couple of hundred kilometres, getting off the planet. For a return trip from Mars, you need to bring the rocket for that plus the launch facility with you. This increases the mass of your initial launch by a...

And the beautiful thing of open source and accessible code (if I may add) is that if you want to change the frequencies of ships in your own game, from the default, you can just make the simple change, rather having to get a whole new OXP.

Huh? they scan the surroundings of the station and transmit every ECM-"warning" ( warning? from what? ) to the inside of every ship docked at the station? Every ship has a semi-passive ECM detector, which is active at all times. When an ECM wave is detected, an alarm is sent to the captai...
