I think I made Deadly in Oolite, but now I spend my time either authoring OXPs or playing "Broke Iron Adder" games. If you can make Elite from a Broke Iron Adder game, you've earned that title in more ways than one!

I realize we're in a freeze for 1.77, but after - How hard would it be to make the camera position readable? We can set camera position (player.ship.setCustomView), so why can't we read it? (Or can we, and I just didn't find it?)

Since it can obviously be implemented easily in an OXP, I'd say leave the core game unaltered. If you wish to have it in your game universe, load the OXP. Others may want to keep theirs closer to the original Elite.

Submersible is correct, it's not what I had in mind, but so long as the altered version is not distributed - I'm good with it. API is supplied specifically to allow other OXP's to control the behavior of DH-S. It's not hard to figure out from the code, but I really should get around to get around to...

I couldn't get it to tumble after flying back it's origin point, so I cheated and just told the AI to re-tumble every 5 seconds when idle. It worked, but the side effect is what you see now.
