Re: Just A Quick Post
In amongst that detail.. add some features to the Coriolis station, to make it a little easier for those who've never seen the game to realise it's a space station.. VERY nice design, by the way! 8) :D Maybe something like this perhaps? http://i989.photobucket.com/albums/af19/KZ9999/t-shirt0b.png I...

Your wish is our command
The simplest solution to your request is to down load a copy of the elite manual which will have the images you require. * Acorn Manual in Gif Scans simple graphic scans of the orginal manual. * C64 Manual in Word format the ship designs are in vectored format. Both of these come directly from the I...

I suspect some folk also signed up with the expectation of having some fun discussions about Elite and then got scared by the highly technical content of many of threads here. A lot of posts here leave me slack jawed and drooling when I try to understand them, but then I'm coming to the world of co...

Just A Quick Post
I thought I would post a small update on the logo stuff I've been fiddling with over the last week. Since El Viejo got me started on this track, here's a work in progress on the t-shirt idea. http://i989.photobucket.com/albums/af19/KZ9999/tshirt_0a.png I've still got a ton of details to add, but I'm...

While technically it's not a game screen shot I thought I would make a post here than start a new thread. The work on the manual is continuing at a steady pace, 22000 words and counting. I'm getting close to producing the first complete draft so I thought I should get a idea on the best layout for y...

Hum... RW promo idea......
Actually, KZ, I've changed my mind...I wish it was my choice. The outbound Cobra (without drive plumes) is perfect. It has a nice aura of menace about it and is, IMHO, all the better for being totally different from the original logo. I can just see it on a t-shirt! Well El Vigjo , don't give me th...

Submission 0a
This is my first official submission for the Logo Redesign Contest. I have tried to keep true to both the current design and to evoke the orginal Elite design (and not cross the look and feel barrier.) http://i989.photobucket.com/albums/af19/KZ9999/submission0a.png Image examples in order from left ...

I also like the Cobra Mk3 flying to the planet. It has a certain something... A thought occurs...how would it look with the Cobra outbound? Well El Viegjo , ask and you will receive. The Dynamic Cobra variant as an outbound, with the text at various sizes. http://i989.photobucket.com/albums/af19/KZ...

Ok. I don't know if you have visited the following pages, if not give them a try. For Intel's auto-detect web page for the graphics system model check and driver update. Direct X is actually up to DX10 now, so to get the latest version for your system head to windows update if it supports it. Here i...

Here's a small post just to give you an idea with some of the ideas I've been playing with. The following are sketches of some of the ideas that have turned up on my laptop. A logical progression on the Classic Oolite Logo... http://i989.photobucket.com/albums/af19/KZ9999/Alt_logo_ver00.png http://i...

Do a driver update check at Dell, Intel and Microsoft's websites. Having worked in the retail computer business for far too long; I can tell you that when you buy a brand new computer, that parts of the software image it comes with can be many months old. Manufactures only update their install image...

I'm sure that Problem isn't the only one who has run into keyboard compatibility issues. Perhaps it might be worthwhile creating a set of alternative keyconfig.plists for each language and for both full keyboards (with separate numeric keypads) and compact keyboards (laptop style.) They could be inc...

I'm finally back... Having thought about the multi-skilled people that make up the Oolite BB, I come up with concept of skill feathers http://i989.photobucket.com/albums/af19/KZ9999/experiment06.png and http://i989.photobucket.com/albums/af19/KZ9999/experiment05.png Following on the idea of the prev...

Unfortunately, the issue you encountered is a problem with one of the external code library used in program and as such is beyond the control of the Oolite team. As such, any non us-keyboard user has problems due to the way the library reads the keyboard. A detailed list of the keys currently in use...

KZ(10^4-1) I think you've done a sublime job - irrespective of the outcome of the comp - to think these wonderful creations came initially from your need to vectorise the original logo!! So, what colour do you give yourself? So of your spare colours which ones go to the fiction/back-story wr...
